Campagnolo Record or Sram Force?
I am building a Specialized Tarmac SL for next season and I have narowed Campy and Sram components. I have worked with Shimano 9spd God knows for how long and I'm up to 10 SPD planning to move. However, the Tarmac SL is not too well whith Shimano Carbon so the way to go. Unfurtunately I havent tried, nor SRAM Campy. If anyone out there has tried these systems ... what would you prefer?
Both would for a sweet Bike make. Here is my opinion: Campy makes great stuff, no doubt. Your treads and durability are unmatched. SRAM stuff is really good conduct and the power line is significantly cheaper than Record. The major issues to consider: 1) Lever / Shifter preference. This is personal, but some people like, such as certain Lever feel. Personally, I think to Campy brake / shift lever small, so I prefer to be SRAM or Shimano. The new SRAM levers were always enthusiastic reviews for ergonomic . Feel And the double-tap shifting is pretty smooth. 2) Spare / replacement wheels. SRAM works with Shimano gears, so you should be able to all the old wheels use with a new cassette 10spd. Campy would mean your old Shimano wheels are no longer using. I have used all three. I now have on my Bike Shimano But my next purchase will be SRAM. Good luck, either way you'll have sweet bike!
