Shimano Deore Xt Derailleur
Shifting problem?
I rode my Mountain Bike today, I noticed that the rear lever was not working properly. When I shift up, happened anything until I go through about three clicks and then jumping 2 or 3 course, harder than I progress through the gears clicking. I looked at the rear derailleur and nothing looks bent. I am using Shimano Deore Xt Shifters deraillleur with. The bike is only 1 week old. How can I fix this? I put the cable a little, although there was very little room to begin with. It moves on (I think) a little better now, but it will move even more difficult stilll how the gears higher to get and still skips a gear or two occasionally.
Sounds like you are on the right way to adapt the cables were. They probably just the fine tuning have the setup to buy a little bit. You can check the tightness of problem by shifting the front derailleur into high gear (the outermost cog.) Then, while pedaling slowly with a hand carefully the derailleur to the inside. The joints were smooth transition to any larger wheel as you push the derailleur. They will press against the sping on it should not take much pressure. If you use the lowest gear (the innermost cog) begin to reach release pressure to move the chain to the outside. Again shift should be smooth and flawless. If not, you can have a bad derailleur. Cable this is a tremendous amount of line, when a bike is new (or whenever To replace a cable.) A good technician will do his best to stretch before a bicycle cable goes out the door. But, they will inevitably stretch a little with the Use. Sun Bicycles come with a barrel adjuster on the site of the cable to the derailleur to take up slack and keep your shifting crisp. It can also be a knob over the counter or at one of the points at which the cable is laid along the border. I prefer this major adjustments to the derailleur. I can fine-tune the gear while driving. Hopefully, as other respondents pointed out, you will not have to either barrel adjuster out to its limits. If you do, you should Cycling to take back and ask the store to clamp around the cable by loosening the set screw for the cable.
