How much would you ask for a cannondale jeckyll mountain bike?
The bike is about five years old, with upgrades like disc hayes brakes and new stem, recently maintained front and rear shocks, newish chain and cables, lady riden light wieght 27pounds.
If I remember right, the Jekyll came in a bunch of different models from about $1000 to $3000. It's hard to give you a fair price without knowing what you have. A decent general rule is to subtract about 10% to 20% after the first year, and then about 10% each year thereafter assuming normal wear and usage. If parts upgrades are within the last couple years then you might add a little for that. Upgrades aren't usually all that important to people unless it's to a better fork, wheelset, or much higher quality component (say, XT or XTR drivetrain, or a MonkeyLite handlebar instead of an aluminum one). If there is any damage beyond the normal small scuffs and scratches, then expect a little less. Don't expect anyone to value your bike more because it was recently serviced (the fork) or has new cables....those things are just part of routine maintenance on a bike.
If you paid $1400ish for the new bike and it's in good condition then you might ask $700-$800. You might not get that for it, but it's not a bad starting point. If you really want to get rid of it, start out at $600 and post it for sale in places where serious riders are more likely to see it.
