Can I use a 12-25 with a 11-32 cassette?
I want to replace my racing wheels 12th to 25 September-speed Shimano Tiagra Shimano XT M770 cassette with a 11-32 9-speed cassette. Would that be possible or straight? How can I tell if my chain long enough?
You can easily switch between them, but you will need a new chain. First, you can not use it because it is too short, but you should always replace the chain when replacing the cartridge caused (even if identical) to prevent skipping due to wear. Shall adjust the length of the new chain, just wrap it around both large rings (front & rear) and they break, where they meet. Then they run through the channels and close it. It will now be the correct length. Edit: did not notice that you have a Road Bike got, so you probably need to replace the front derailleur, like the others mentioned. I used to tape my way SS MTB, as I level to more areas ride, 32T is ideal for steep climbs on trails and generally not for road use, requires (in addition, it adds weight to try most of the roadies, Scales).
