bmx bike from wal-mart help?
i want a bmx bike but i but my mom says that she doesnt wont to pay for those 200-500 dollars bikes she want to get one from wal-mart and i want to know that can you still do tricks and ride ramps with a bike from wal-mart
If you want to get the most value for your money, go to a bike shop. A good one will have a selection of bikes and not all of them are really expensive. If you go to a store like Walmart, there is merchandise that will hold up under reasonable use, such as plates and glasses. However, if you are going to get something that has moving parts and gets heavy use, the stuff you get in Walmart may not be such a good deal. A bicycle has a lot of moving parts and if you want to use ramps and do tricks, you will be giving it hard use. It might last you a summer, or not. If you get one from a dealer who sells name brand quality bikes, he can sell you one that will last you much longer. It is a better deal to spend $150 on a bike that will last one year or to spend $250 on a bike that will last you four years or more? The old saying is, you get what you pay for. In some things, going to a place like Walmart can save you money. I find the brand of jeans that I like best at Walmart and they carry them in Talls sizes. However, I don't use them to do tricks on a ramp. I only wear them after work or on weekends. Any decent pair that fits well will do for me. As for a bike, well, it likely will function better for you and last you longer if you buy a bike from a reputable bike dealer. You might not be able to afford all of the "bells and whistles" on a quality bike that you really think you want, but a lower end, quality bike will acutally cost you less in the long run. But remember, any bike you purchase must be taken care of properly. Maintain it well and ride it with pride.
