Bike Tire Liners
why don't they just put those plastic liners in at the factory?
bought a new bike, 2 hours into it i get two flats, called my bike store and i ask if should get some green slime liners and he said they had these new thick plastic liners that are much better and they are 12 bucks...
why in the name of all that is good, do they not put those suckers in the tire the 1st place?????
some little tiny tic tac sized burrs from a field caused two flat tires...thats stupid...
they wont weigh very much ...i understand the cost, but a mfg would buy them in bulk and they would cost pennies...sigh..i guess its all about big business and keeping the tube and tire business going...
They don't put them in every bike because most people don't need them and it would raise the cost of the bike. I would get the liners and see how they work. You can also Google "thorn proof tires" and read what other people suggest.
